Automation Week

Join our Pop-up Robot Lab for a week of collaborative learning, making and testing robots! Explore the mechanics and practical elements of making moving sculpture. 

For people aged 16 – 25 years and not in education, employment or training (or at risk of).

Bring to life simple structures with moving parts and animatronics. 

Experiment with soft robotics and automation. 

Learn and develop skills in metalwork and welding techniques, using hinging and pivots to make moving parts and articulate limbs. Make moving eyes and other lifelike actions.

Playfully test and learn collaborative making sessions. We aim to work together to co-create large-scale moving artworks.

Suitable for budding artists and makers, sculptors and fabricators for fine art, festivals and other public events.
