for Little Lost Robot CIC

What We Do

Little Lost Robot CIC (Community Interest Company) is a not-for-profit collective of artists working with social practice. We provide a programme of free creative activities that support good mental health and help to develop confidence, in a well-resourced and supportive environment. We work in an unpressured way that nurtures individuals to determine their own creative outcomes by developing practical, creative skills with thoughtful guidance from our professional artists.

  2. For you to receive our newsletter (unsubscribe anytime)
  3. Enrol you onto a publicly funded project that we provide
  4. Process and respond to a feedback report

  2. Allow you to withdraw your data at any time
  3. Provide you with our Whistleblowing and Complaints Procedure

If you are referred to us from another person or organisation

Data submitted to us is confidential. We will ask for your name, age and contact details. We will also ask for further information about your interests and any personal circumstances that affect your capacity to interact with our programme. This to enable staff to ensure you are supported to access our programme fully and meaningfully.

If we enrol you onto a publicly funded project that we provide

Some of our free activities are only possible because we receive funding from WECA (the West of England Combined Authority) via their AEB (Adult Education Budget). Which is funded through the Department for Education. Participation in this programme is voluntary, and your choice should be informed. Everyone is welcome to enjoy our free activities, however enrolments help us to receive more funding from WECA to keep the programme going. Before you choose whether you want to become a AEB Programme participant, we ask you to read and sign a Learner Agreement which explains about our use of your “personal data” in this programme and how we will protect your privacy rights. You can request a copy of this Learner Agreement by emailing producer@lostrobot.org

Data Control

The West of England Combined Authority are “data controllers” and Little Lost Robot are the “data processors” for the implementation of the AEB Programme. Responsibility for keeping your personal data safe, using it lawfully, and for ensuring your rights to privacy are respected, is set out in the definitions below.

Data Controller: means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

Data Processor: means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

What is your “Personal Data”?

Personal data is information which is about you, and which identifies you as an individual. This means it could be used to make decisions which have a direct impact on you. The purpose of this notice is to explain how we will use the information you give to us if you become a participant, and what we will use it for.

Data protection law sets down the rules for data controllers (such as the West of England Combined Authority), data processors (such as Little Lost Robot and rights for the people (known as “data subjects”) whose information is held by them (such as you).

Transparency: what we need to tell you

As a data subject, you have rights under the law of data protection. You have the right to be informed by us about:

• what personal data we would collect from you as a participant

• how we would use it, and for what purpose

• who we would share your information with, and why

• your other data subject rights and how to exercise them

Why We Collect Your Information

We collect your data in order to deliver the learning opportunities to you. Successful training and outcomes for our participants are intended to contribute to WECA’s broader aim of furthering the growth of the local economy and the skillset of the workforce in the West of England region. Statistics, drawn from the participant information held on the AEB Programme database, will be used to evaluate and report on the programme.  This statistical information will not include anything which could identify you, and so it cannot be used to make any decisions which could affect you directly or personally.  We report to Government, Local Authorities and partners about the outputs and outcomes of the project to demonstrate the impact of the project and this information may be published.

Your information will not be used for profiling or to make automated decisions.

You may be asked by your learning provider if you would like to share your own story as a AEB Programme participant and be considered for a “case study”. This may then be published in line with your preferences selected on the form.

You may choose to withdraw from your participation in an AEB Programme at any time.

You have the right to refuse to provide information which is requested of you.  In some cases, your refusal may mean you can no longer be a AEB Programme participant, but we will explain this to you before you decide.

You also have the right to object to our use of your information.  This means you can request that we stop using any information that you have already given which can be used to identify you, and to request that we delete this from our database.

If you have any concerns or questions about our handling of your personal data you can contact producer@lostrobot.org.
