Flag Making

Celebrate Community with Great Design!

Ideal for ages 6 – 13 years, and their adults
Drop in (no booking necessary)

We’ll be making personal and family flags to keep and display at your camp, or home. Plus huge community banners that will be displayed locally!

Design a flag the represents the place you call home. What makes the place where you live one-of-a-kind, different, unique? What do you all recognise about where you live? Or what small details are there that only you notice?

Use local stories, activities you do, people you know, recognisable colours and symbols that represent your place in the world

You can make a variety of flags and banners with fabrics, painting, printing, colours, symbols lettering. Our artists invite you to go large and we will help you use creative techniques to celebrate local pride, identity and belonging. Explore making our community feel special through inclusive art, design, making and expression.

All ages are welcome to Old Printworks Arts for Summer Activities.

We expect adults bringing children to supervise and support them to make the most out of these activities. We actively support siblings to be busy and engaged at all ages, and our suggested ages are for guidance only.

Please be advised that Blacksmithing needs to be booked to guarantee a space. Adults bringing children aged 8 – 14 years must accompany them during the session for safety.
