Monday 10 – 2.30pm
Term time – until 14 February
Robot Lab teaches all of the creative skills necessary for imagining, designing and making immersive arts of your own, at every scale.
Think moving sculpture, light-up 3D artwork, programmable lighting design, wearable art, immersive and imaginary worlds, automatons and more. Bring your imagination and we provide the means.
Our aim is to support working class artists to learn new digital and creative skills, to confidently create fresh, new and imaginative artwork, using creative technology. We are being proudly supported with public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England to share our expertise of producing immersive artwork in a completely accessible way.
10 – 12pm We are in the fabrication studio learning how to make 3D, moving artwork, hinged joints, pop-ups and other types of articulation in sculpture.
12.30 – 2.30pm Learn creative coding for programmable movement, lighting sequencing, interactive projections, sound, light-up wearables and more.
Please note that we can no longer offer child supervision on Monday afternoons for attendees because this was undersubscribed. However parents and carers of preschool aged children can attend M/Others sessions on Wednesdays for our offer of creative me-time with child supervision built in.
